Recently, our Books & Journals department was created to launch a publishing business at DaySpring! This new department has been tasked with building the foundational pieces necessary for long-term success in these product categories. The Associate Product Manager II position is the perfect place for a professional to make an immediate impact on DaySpring's mission and be part of a dynamic start-up team of high energy professionals!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands and helps execute all Publishing programs developed for the marketplace from immediate opportunistic business to products that will launch a year out.
  • Research, analyze, and deeply understand products, markets, and consumers to implement Publishing solutions that meet both ministry and financial metrics.
  • Manage and overseas costs.  Responsible for the P/L of assigned product categories and makes daily decisions that impact costs.  Must understand financial concepts and the levers that impact P/L statements.
  • Execute programs effectively ensuring that short term tasks align with long term Publishing strategies.  Assists in defining program requirements and objectives.  Handles data integrity and works within internal DaySpring systems to see that programs effectively get managed thru multiple cross departmental touch points.
  • Communicate, sell, and represent Publishing products to a variety of DaySpring teams.  Assists with presentation and creation of selling tools and materials.  Interacts with Sales, Marketing, Creative, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time execution.
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of Product Marketing or Project Management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook
  • Ability to research and analyzing products, markets and consumers
  • Keen understanding of influences that impact consumer behavior and decision-making
  • Skillful in managing time efficiently across multiple projects
  • Aptitude for defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
  • Can make decisions based on financial goals established for brand or product
  • Aligns short-term daily tasks to long-term strategies.  Can assist in defining program requirements.  Works to execute programs on time 
  • Can handle data entry and filing needs
  • Personable attitude towards internal partners
  • Ability to participate in and lead team discussions and product planning meetings
  • Understanding of and passion for the DaySpring mission
