The Credit department at DaySpring is responsible for serving our retail partners in the most efficient and caring way possible.  Our goal is to maximize sales opportunities, accelerate cash flows, and minimize bad debt losses while providing our partners with top-notch customer service.  We take great pride in doing our part to fulfill the DaySpring Mission: "To know God, to demonstrate His kingdom, and to help people throughout the world know and share His love, by providing Christians with tools of communication that express God's heart in fresh, new ways."

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    Initiate and receive customer account phone calls, emails, and letters daily.  Plan for proper communication through account research, utilizing in-house communication programs to achieve departmental objectives.
2.    Review the orders held for credit review.  Determine disposition of each order with appropriate communication to the account and other internal areas which may be affected.
3.    Review seasonal returns on accounts with past due balances to determine the status of pending credits.  Communicate with internal and external customers, accordingly.
4.    Responsible for customer account maintenance – reviewing for credit worthiness, maintaining resale tax forms, and assisting in the opening and closing of customer accounts.
5.    Accepting customer payments through various methods and preparing bank deposits.
6.    Other reasonably related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You must have these to be considered for this role:
1.    High school diploma/GED or equivalent
2.    1 or more years of credit/accounts receivable/customer service experience 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
You will stand out if you have these:

  • BPCS/AS400 accounting software experience.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft office, Internet, Email, Data processing, Word and Excel.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills: to verbalize and to actively listen with empathy
  • Critical Thinking Skills- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables. Consistently make good decisions
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible
  • Grasps basic financial concepts.  Understands how financial concepts relate to business objectives. 
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the DaySpring mission
