DaySpring Internship - Marketing and Digital Design

The Marketing Creative Team is responsible for setting creative strategy and delivering design solutions for DaySpring marketing materials across a portfolio of businesses, with strong focus on digital and direct-to-consumer platforms and channels. Key areas of focus are marketing collateral, advertising and promotional campaigns, product and lifestyle photography, website and UX design, and digital content.

 

The Design Intern, Marketing & Digital is a member of the Marketing Creative Team, supporting various marketing and digital initiatives, with specific focus on production design, coordination and graphic support for email, social, web and photography initiatives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production design: design and assemble ads, social graphics, and images for use in digital and print marketing materials as requested, utilizing existing templates and creative direction. Requires strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite with a developing knowledge of color, typography and layout.
  • Design Coordination: Assist team in scheduling, planning & communication for photography projects serving both in-studio product sessions and off-site lifestyle sessions. May include communication with photographers, logistical planning, assisting at shoots, and involvement in final file delivery process.
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You must have these to be considered:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program with an expected graduation date of 2022 or 2023 (priority placed on applicants with an earlier graduation date).
  • Submission of design portfolio. This can be a link to an online portfolio. Your portfolio should show 5-10 digital images of your original work, across multiple categories.

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • Foundational understanding of design, typography, color and trends
  • Aptitude with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Business: Marketing, Communications, or Advertising major
  • Demonstrates initiative & pursues excellence
  • Coachability. Ability and desire to receive positive feedback
  • Strong communication skills
  • Photography experience
  • An understanding of and appreciation for the DaySpring mission

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This paid internship ($12/hour) is budgeted for up to 20 hours per week, begins in January 2022 and runs for the duration of summer 2022 with an option of extending into the fall 2022 semester.
