Ecommerce Merchandising/Buying Coordinator

The Strategic Marketing Team champions the Brand, Mission and Consumer across the entire organization for DaySpring.  We lead with consumer insights, brand engagement and mission focus.  We support key initiatives for each organization, while bringing a holistic approach to form “One DaySpring” to our consumer and partners.

 

The general purpose of this position is to directly support the Lead Merchant Buyer in the commercialization of DaySpring and 3rd Party gift product for DaySpring.com. Assists in the curation of products and categories to provide engaging, relevant solutions for consumers. Works closely with Site Experience Team on the item enrichment process as well as external vendors and fulfillment on 3rd Party PO management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitor and coordinate 3rd Party product buys, PO process, and inventory receipts. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
  2. Contribute to item detail efforts for DaySpring and 3P gift product for DS.com commercialization - including writing consumer facing copy. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time. 
  3. Collaborate with Site Experience Team on item enrichment process. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time. 
  4. Assist in championing and reporting against 3P product sales and consumer insights. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
  5. Supports day-to-day item merchandising of the online store with high attention to detail and consumer experience expectations. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
  6. Assist with monitoring product and industry trends including attending gift market. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
  7. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

 
REQUIREMENTS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You must have these to be considered for this role:

  1. High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  2. 2 or more years of administrative experience.

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
You will stand out if you have these:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Google Sheets.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work on tasks individually in a remote environment as well as in the office.
  • Experience in copywriting – ability to write consumer facing copy.
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the DaySpring mission.
