Sr. Demand and Inventory Planner

The Sr. Demand and Inventory Planner is responsible for leading the process that develops a consensus forecast that is based on historical data, customer demand, future planned activities, internal/external factors and input from key business partners.  The output of the process is a unit by month level demand forecast that supports the DaySpring business strategy.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Using historical demand, applying macro-trends to generate a statistical demand plan.
  2. Works collaboratively with the Distribution Channels Representatives applying qualitative data i.e. sales & promotions, kits and market intuition to develop the aggregate consensus demand plan. 
  3. Works collaboratively with the Distribution Channel Representatives to reconcile the consensus demand plan to the corporate gross sales plan.
  4. Compiles and presents the reconciled demand plan to the Distribution Channel Leaders for approval
  5. Measures and reports on demand forecast accuracy on a monthly basis.
  6. Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in demand planning/inventory management  

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or similar relevant field
  • CSCP Supply Chain Professional Certification
  • Ability to analyze data, but also communicate effectively to bridge with their channel partners. 
  • Ability to understand the big picture, but able to work on the small details that roll up to create and support that picture.
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate continuous improvement; can recognize needed improvements and work to implement them into the process.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of and appreciation for DaySpring mission
