The DaySpring Information Technology team is a team of talented professionals that demonstrate technical competency and business savvy to deliver mission critical infrastructure, systems and analytics and to ensure support at the highest levels of productivity and effectiveness to DaySpring.



The primary purposes of the Systems Engineer is to implement, troubleshoot, and support various components of DaySpring's systems infrastructure. This position installs, maintains, documents, and supports network and server systems, working directly with vendors, IT teams, corporate staff and internal users to ensure a working and secure systems environment.


  1. Configuration, testing, installation, and maintenance of network systems and infrastructure. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
  2. Troubleshooting, resolution and documentation of system issues. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
  3. Work closely with Help Desk, other IT teams and vendors on issue resolution. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
  4. Proactively manage and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the network. This duty is performed weekly, about 20% of the time.
  5. Proactive systems monitoring. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
  6. Maintain up-to-date systems documentation. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
  7. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows/Mac/Unix-based  environments.



  • Experience in VMWare VSphere.
  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies.
  • Experience with storage infrastructure, backup systems (Veeam and Replication Technology).
  • Business or Technical degree.
  • Ability to communicate skillfully.
  • A high level of curiosity and energy to recognize problems and the knack and tenacity for solving them!
  • Server infrastructure design and maintenance, including creation of hardware and VMWare hosts and servers, migration of servers from one host to another and the maintenance, ITIL change control processes.
  • Provide support for email (Exchange) and web filtering appliances.
  • Support for enterprise conferencing equipment, VOIP services, and end user devices.
  • Support System Administration incident resolution.
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the DaySpring mission.
