OVERVIEW:

Order Management Services (OMS) is comprised of a diverse faction of functions to assist and support all Customer Development Teams across all brands and channels of Hallmark Global. OMS continuously plays a key role in supporting efforts to help our business partners reach retail and consumer objectives and to support Hallmark Global corporate initiatives. Primary partners include Customer Development, Visual Merchandising, Retail Logistics, Assortment Planning, Marketing, Demand & Inventory Management, Publications, Business Services, Fixtures, Sales, IT and Distribution. Note this role is primarily remote while HQ is not fully operational, but some program needs require building access to finalize program execution.

 

THE OMS APPLICATION DEVELOPER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The OMS Application Developer will work with both back-end and front-end technologies to design, create, implement, test and support application software for various end users. They are responsible for translating software requirements into workable programming code, as well as maintaining and developing programs for use within the business. The Application Developer is accountable for developing and maintaining Hallmark’s computer-based applications at a level that ensures the successful operation of Hallmark’s business. The Application Developer will, from time to time, work with analysts from other departments within the IT Organization and business community.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, creating and defining application requirements.
  • Defining application solutions appropriate to customer requirements.
  • Testing, coding and performing unit test plans for programs assigned.
  • Designing and building prototypes
  • Integrating with 3rd party applications.
  • Defining physical program units and data structures.
  • Coordinating with the project team and the customers.
  • Developing and deploying solutions like test plans and application guides.
  • Designing and developing complex application systems using technology platforms.
  • Participating in and assisting with application architecture functions.
  • Recognizing the needs of customers to create new applications that answer those needs.
  • Clearly communicating ideas to teammates and leadership.
  • Implementing high quality systems that support business community needs, meeting ongoing service-based requirements, and mitigating risk within production-based environments. 
  • Understanding and actively participating in communities of practice within Hallmark, the IT Division, and groups from other companies

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree
  • 2 years of professional experience in application development, technology services, programming, and/or IT
  • Experience using C#/.NET, HTML or JAVASCRIPT

  • Working knowledge of Desktop proficiencies (Word, Excel, etc.)
