AN OVERVIEW:

The DevOps Engineer will manage builds/releases in an agile environment. Will act as a liaison to promote smooth and timely delivery of software services and/or updates. Takes a leading role in transitioning system deployment from Hallmark platform to public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. Continually improves and enhances Hallmark’s ability to automate the delivery into a production environment with no downtime.

THE DEVOPS ENGINEER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

This role will support development and operations teams in their cloud or on premise operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. This includes working with Architects and clients to understand application and infrastructure current state.  Lead working sessions to identify, categorize, prioritize and analyze data and information to work into migration action plans.   Working with the larger project teams to migrate legacy applications to a cloud platform or on-premise landscape.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  •  Associates degree in computer, MIS, or business.
  •  Three or more years of experience with implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, business or related field
  • Experience leading solution delivery teams and or service delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • ITIL 3.0 certification
  • Minimum 3 years in Release Engineering role to include:
    • Source code management administration
    • Building and deploying .Net based applications using automation
    • Isolating build/deployment issues versus code issues
  • VSTS Administration
  •  VSTS Build and Deploy Automation preferred
  • Experience working with Apache & Windows IIS
  • IaaS and SaaS experience preferred
  • Experience working with rapid, overlapping product release cycles and shifting priorities
  • 2+ years of experience developing software with C#, .NET
  • 2+ years working with Linux
  • Will to win and strong drive for results; self­starter
  • Strong personal leadership, including a great team player and positive attitude.  High sense of personal accountability
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solving skills; high learning agility and curiosity
