ABOUT US:

Hallmark's Insights & Analytics organization is responsible for the oversight of our centralized data, analytics, and market research organization, focused on advancing our insight-led capabilities to innovate and modernize how consumers experience our brand, as well as representing the critically important consumer point of view.

 

Hallmark’s Consumer Analytics team is a critical part of the Insights & Analytics organization and provides highly actionable solution building, problem solving, & consultation for the Hallmark Global business. This team is focused on using data to more deeply understand the behaviors & needs of our consumers, and how they relate to Hallmark products & experiences, leveraging a vast number of data sources to our advantage. We interact with all areas of the Hallmark business, driving a wide range of business strategies and decisions, with impact on both short and long term growth opportunities.  We focus on building data driven capabilities to advance the business and better serve our consumers. We are looking for motivated individuals who love exploring data, developing new experiments and models, discovering insights and driving business impact through actionable recommendations.

 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

The Consumer Analytics Director leads advanced analytics and data science teams to develop consumer focused, data-driven capabilities for Hallmark. The incumbent will lead and drive a best practice in leveraging robust data, business acumen, and analytical thought leadership to create solutions that drive performance for the company, leading to revenue generation and cost savings opportunities for Hallmark. The incumbent will develop, acquire and evolve talent, tools, processes and partners. This individual will work closely with all levels of leadership across the organization, including a variety of analytical and non-analytical business teams. As a leader at Hallmark, the incumbent will be expected to present complex data-driven solutions to Senior Leadership, both internal and external, with varying levels of analytical capabilities.

 

The incumbent must lead, drive and champion the gathering, objective analysis and application of category, marketplace, economic, retail, consumer, customer and shopper focused data for the Hallmark. The incumbent will create and lead the analytics strategy for their respective team, with regard to the use of data, predictive analytics, and the corresponding capability/talent imperatives, with the goal of delivering new insights to help provide strategic guidance to the business. The incumbent will build partnerships with the broader analytics community within the company and with external partners as appropriate to develop a comprehensive and actionable understanding of the business.  The incumbent will present complex business analysis with points of views and recommendations to influence business decisions and represent the consumer point of view.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative OR technical field, including Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Math, Business, Economics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Social Sciences
  • Minimum 7 years of professional advanced analytics or data science experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing statistical models, advanced machine learning, artificial intelligence or big data technologies
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience leading an advanced analytics or data science team

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative OR technical field, including Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Math, Business, Economics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Social Sciences, etc.
  • Advanced degree in the above fields with additional data science certification
  • 10+ years of Professional Data Analysis experience, including expertise in numerous programming languages and technological stacks
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • Proven track record of establishing, developing and leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors, delivering solutions that drive performance and exhibiting leadership across the company
  • Exceptional ability to assess current capabilities and create robust roadmaps, aligned with corporate growth strategy, to develop new capabilities and strengths for the company
  • Expertise in conducting presentation to internal and external clients, building confidence and trust in analytical capabilities with top executives at major companies
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technology and analytical approaches to drive new advanced analytics and data science capabilities for the future
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain analytic process concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
  • Proven track record of partnering with leaders across multiple business units to develop data driven capabilities to the betterment of the company, while developing trust and commitment to new processes and approaches
