The Building Services Department performs janitorial services required to maintain the Crown Center facilities complex and provides various support activities for the corporation. These responsibilities encompass cleaning activities, trash and recycle removal, pest infestation removal, sanitation control, and snow removal. Employees receive direction from the Section Manager or group leader and do not supervise any other employees.


  • Cleaning duties within the Crown Center facility complex including floors, restrooms, ceilings, offices, ducts and vents, light fixtures, stairs, production areas, etc.
  • Utilize various cleaning equipment and supplies including mild-strong chemicals including calcium chloride, floor shampoos, mops, battery-operated/electric floor scrubbers, carpet extractors brooms, large and small vaccums, ladders, dust mops (24" -36" head), wet mops (24 oz.)
  • Stocking and re-stocking supplies including restroom toiletries, office supplies and equipment
  • Empty trash containers and recyclable waste containers
  • Complete all other cleaning and maintenance duties as necessary


  • This is a 2nd shift position and the work hours are 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM; Monday through Friday.
  • May be required to obtain special commercial driver's license and internal operator license for equipment used
  • All work activity will be inspected and should be accomplished in accordance with established department quality and quantity standards.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1 year of work experience in the custodial field
  • Experience using custodial equipment such as battery-operated/electric floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, large and small vacuum cleaners, buffers and burnishers
  • Ability to work a 2nd shift position from 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Ability to constantly stand, walk, push/pull and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to handle frequent bending, squatting, or reaching below waste level
  • Ability to occasionally sit and kneel and lift up to 100 pounds
