The Customer Service Representative supports Crown Center retail shops and the Crown Center Marketing Department. Crown Center is a multi-use complex consisting of a retail center, restaurants, two hotels, theatres, and attractions, as well as an office complex. The Customer Service Representative serves by assisting customers with many various questions and needs, sell products at the Customer Service Center, and support Crown Center administration. This person is responsible for cash handling, balancing the cash register, and performs other ad hoc responsibilities from the manager.

The Customer Service Representative interacts with customers, in person and by phone, to answer questions, give directions and solve issues for Crown Center guests. Operate a cash register while selling various products that are offered at the Customer Service Center. Provide professional gift wrapping and shipping services to customers. Produce Accounting and Marketing reports that are required by management, and support the Marketing Department with various activities. Perform duties in support of materials inventory needs, and the maintenance of electronic Marketing media in the center. Perform various duties in relation to operating the Showplace exhibit space.

The Customer Service Representative will work Monday – Friday with the start time beginning between 9:30am – 10:30am and ending between 4:00pm – 7pm. Work schedules are rotated on a weekly basis. Must be available to occasionally work on weekends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of one year of Customer Service experience or interacting with the public

  • Basic PC skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or GED plus college courses in progress

  • Customer Service experience that involves cash handling

  • MS Word, Excel, Publisher

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must display a high level of maturity and the ability to handle a variety of situations when working with the public

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The Customer Service Representative position is located at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
