Customer Services Rep (On-Call) - Crown Center

AN OVERVIEW:

Crown Center is a vibrant multi-use complex, which includes retail shops, two hotels, offices and special attractions - an exciting place where people live, work and play. It is located near the corporate headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Inc. and attracts thousands of visitors every year. 

 

Crown Center Customer Service is located in the retail shopping center and is comprised of an effective team of experienced Customer Services Representatives. The team delivers a wide variety of services to Crown Center guests.

 

The Showplace children’s exhibits and art gallery exhibits are offered by Crown Center Marketing, and are located within the Crown Center retail shopping center. The exhibits are hosted by Customer Services Representatives (CSRs). The CSRs provide excellent service and assistance for exhibit guests, and are an integral part of the overall success of the Crown Center retail operations.

 

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

The Customer Services Representative will interact with customers to welcome them to the exhibit, answer questions, give directions, offer parking validation, monitor the room for appropriate behavior, report any significant issues to the Retail Marketing Manager, and solve any issues, etc.  The Customer Services Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to help ensure that each guest has a positive experience at Crown Center. Perform various duties in relation to keeping the exhibit clean and orderly and report visitor attendance to the Retail Marketing Manager.

 

The Customer Services Represenative will also cross-train to serve as on-call staff at Crown Center Customer Service.  Customer Service duties include, but are not limited to: answering customer questions in person and over the phone; preparing shipments for customers and processing through FedEx terminal; custom gift wrappring; and processing customer payment transactions.

 

On-Call Customer Service Representatives are currently needed to fill weekday and weekend shifts, approximately 24 hours per week. Operating hours are Monday – Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday noon to 5:00pm.  Hours are subject to change.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of Customer Service experience, or working with the public, or working with children in a classroom or service capacity.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must display a high level of maturity and the ability to handle a variety of situations when working with the public.

 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • The On-Call Customer Services Representative position is located at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  
  • On-Call Customer Services Representatives are currently needed to fill weekday and weekend shifts, approximately 24 hours per week, starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day (*Note - An on-call assignment may be available beyond the noted timeframe.). The weekend operating hours are Monday – Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday noon to 5:00pm.  Hours are subject to change. 
  • The Customer Services Represenative will also cross-train to serve as on-call staff at Crown Center Customer Service. Customer Service duties include, but are not limited to: answering customer questions in person and over the phone; preparing shipments for customers and processing through FedEx terminal; custom gift wrappring; and processing customer payment transactions.
  • Relocation will not be provided.
