ABOUT THIS TEAM:

Hallmark Digital is the driving force behind the creation and delivery of digital solutions to Hallmark’s consumers. Hallmark Digital includes almost all consumer digital touch points – eCommerce, search, mobile, social, etc. It is a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment and requires agility and a growth mindset. Digital Hallmarkers wear many hats and engage with new and innovative technologies that help shape consumer digital experiences with the Brand on multiple eCommerce platforms around the world.

As a member of the Hallmark Digital group, you'll partner with a high-functioning, high-energy team of cross-functional disciplines that manages our Amazon and direct-to-consumer digital businesses across the globe. With a consumer-first focus, this group delivers best-in-class digital solutions that have a direct impact on shoppers’ engagement with the Hallmark brand across the ever-growing, always changing eCommerce environment.

 

THE DATA ANALYST II WILL:

The Data Analyst II will be the point person for all Amazon channel analytics and ensures stakeholders have access to the product, sales, and shopper insights necessary to drive the best experience possible for our Hallmark consumers shopping across retail and grocery Amazon platforms.

The Data Analyst II partners with Operations, Marketing, Content, Product, and IT teams within Hallmark Digital and Hallmark Global to understand the levers that drive our KPIs and utilizes various analytics methods and visualization tools to recommend Amazon strategy based on trends and forecasts. This role will partner closely with our direct-to-consumer and click-and-collect teams to understand cross-channel insights and opportunities.

 

Essential duties and accountabilities of the Data Analyst II include:

Develops and maintains reporting structures and visualizations that allow internal and external partners to drive strategy with “real-time” data

Uses best practices, with some coaching, to develop statistically sound analyses that address business needs by developing reports, uncovering trends, and diagnosing areas of opportunity

Develops and monitors various experimentations, analyzes results, and reports finding (with next steps) to business stakeholders

Leverages business subject expertise (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Economics, Market Research, etc.) and data to create robust analytical based solutions

Uses and learns a wide variety of tools and languages to achieve results (e.g. Excel, Tableau, R, SAS, Python) and effectively complete various analytical projects

Fully immersed in the data and business strategy to effectively collaborate with the team to improve the effectiveness of business decisions using advanced analytics

Takes leadership in Hallmark Analytics community by educating and training other analytics and non-analytics staff on various analytics and data science techniques where applicable

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years professional work experience
  • 2+ years professional experience in an analyst, data science, or other quantitative-focused business role
  • Experience with advanced Excel techniques, SQL, and Tableau

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in at least one (1) statistical programming language (Python, R, SAS, etc.)
  • Professional experience or academic training in advanced analytics or data science
  • Experience and/or training in basic to intermediate statistical methods, including predictive analysis, regression, data mining, etc.
  • Experience in utilizing relational databases and big data tools to manage large data sets for analytical purposes, including SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Pig, AWS, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Strong desire to explore various data sources to uncover hidden trends and opportunities for the organization
  • Ability to simplify large and complex problems to determine appropriate approaches and uncover data driven actionable insights
  • Proven track record of utilizing technical and business acumen to drive strategy and solutions
