The Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for: 

  • Building a world-class, consumer-focused caring platform that enables Hallmark’s lines of business (LOB) across the enterprise (Crayola, Crown Media, Hallmark Global) to accelerate their direct-to-consumer product strategies  

  • Developing a Cloud-first, multi-tenant digital platform that provides capabilities and services, such as a unified Hallmark Profile, Product Recommendations, Global Payment services, etc.  

  • Building, securing and operating digital consumer products for Hallmark’s LOBs 

  • Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future 

As a member of the DCOE group you'll partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines that bring products like Hallmark.com and our Hallmark Gold Crown Omnichannel network to life for our consumers. With a consumer-first focus this group delivers impactful digital solutions that have a direct impact on consumer brand engagement and retention in the digital space, which results in revenue growth and brand relevance. 

 

The Digital Product Manager (I or II)  is the critical decision-maker responsible for translating business priorities into user-centric digital solutions. They are the subject matter expert that partners with the business & provides direction to a cross-functional team (external technology partners and internal agile teams) to deliver upon business priorities. Because of the required deep & thorough understanding of the business strategy, priorities & objectives; this role wears several complex “hats” to ensure implications & user-impact of each decision are vetted & understood.  This person will lead the work to deliver new capabilities and enhanced user experiences – working collaboratively with external technology partners and agile teams to deliver best-in-class solutions within a variety of technology platforms.

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for assigned products managed by the Hallmark Global IT team.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to identify high-impact work, build and groom a backlog of work; and partner with external technology partners and agile teams to deliver improved user experiences that drive measurable results and ultimately positive impact to the business.
  • Provide progress and status to senior management throughout the organization.
  • Manage and communicate tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles).
  • Manage external technology partner relationships – reviewing/approving scopes of work, requirements documentation, manage assigned budgets and invoices as necessary.

The selected individual must have strong communication and facilitation skills, with a proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners, business acumen and the ability to present plans and opportunities with individuals at higher levels in the organization. They must exhibit corporate & interpersonal savvy and confidence leading technical projects under tight budgets and timelines.

 

The Digital Product Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with business partners, external technology partners, and internal agile teams, to deliver superior digital products.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, build business cases and measure product performance.
  • Develop and communicate a solid understanding of end-users, the marketplace, competition and future trends of digital platforms and channels.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies, digital ecosystem optimization, revenue & functionality growth.
  • Work with team to ensure content and functionality development efforts are poised and built to serve the broader needs of the business.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that synthesizes the needs of business customers over the long and short term. Manage delivery expectations with customers and extended team. Support the IT Investment Board process to secure funding.
  • Create, and groom a backlog of well-formed stories for implementation, collaborate with business and agile teams to prioritize the work to be delivered and work with team on product execution.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies.

 

This is a potential progression role (Digital Product Manager I or II) where the hiring leader will decide on which level based on leadership, results and overall experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years professional work experience.

Minimum of 5 years for a Digital Product Manager I - including experience in product management, website management experience and/or digital account management experience.

Experience with agile development methodology.

Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of digital agency account management.

3+ years experience managing technology platforms and roadmaps.

Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into digital strategies and solutions.

Familiarity with application testing, debugging and analysis of issues.

Familiarity with Usability Design (best practices, consumer journey flows, wireframes, etc.).

Proven background in collaboration and creative problem solving to deliver upon business objectives.

Ability to manage competing priorities and a high volume of initiatives at one time. Proactively prioritize the work  and manage expectations.

Curious and self-starter.
