The Payments Manager is responsible for the overall efficiency and operational aspects for our global payments’ operation.  This critical role is also responsible for translating business priorities into business and customer centric solutions.  In this role, you will be the subject matter expert that partners with the business and Treasury while providing guidance to cross-functional teams consuming payment services (external technology partners and internal agile teams) to deliver upon business priorities.  Because of the required deep & thorough understanding of the business strategy, priorities & objectives, this role wears several complex “hats” to ensure implications & user-impact of each decision are vetted & understood. 




This person will lead the work to deliver new capabilities and enhanced efficiencies designed to deliver security, conversion, business profitability, and data integrity – working collaboratively with internal and external partners and agile teams to deliver best-in-class solutions within a variety of payment platforms.  

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for assigned payments products managed by the Hallmark Global Technology team. 
  • With the support of a technology analyst, maintain status and daily dashboard reporting on performance, consumption, and efficiency throughout the payment stacks (CNP, CP, Subscription for easy consumption by senior management throughout the organization. 
  • Manage and communicate tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles). 
  • Manage external technology partner relationships – reviewing/approving scopes of work, requirements documentation, manage assigned budgets and invoices as necessary. 
  • With the support of a project coordinator, execute operational related tasks for new partner integrations and deployments in support of merchant processing activities. 




The Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for: 

  • Building a world-class, consumer-focused caring platform that enables Hallmark’s lines of business (LOB) across the enterprise (Crayola, Crown Media, Hallmark Global) to accelerate their direct-to-consumer product strategies  
  • Developing a Cloud-first, multi-tenant digital platform that provides capabilities and services, such as a unified Hallmark Profile, Product Recommendations, Global Payment services, etc.  
  • Building, securing, and operating digital consumer products for Hallmark’s LOBs 
  • Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future 


As a member of the DCOE group you'll partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines that bring products like Hallmark.com and our Hallmark Gold Crown Omnichannel network to life for our consumers. This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.  The salary range for this job, is between $91,321 and $152,506.  Salary will take into consideration several factors including location and role level.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years professional work experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Digital Product Manager in regard to website management experience and/or digital account management experience. 
  • Extensive experience with payments stacks (cart through the bank including fraud layers, omni token/network token, conveyed auths) in global territories for both card present and card not present transactions. 
  • Experience with agile development methodology. 
  • Experience executing multiple projects at once with strong command of detail.  


Your resume and portfolio/application will stand out if you have:

  • 5+ years of payments experience in both card not present and card present businesses (preferably global – present and settle in multiple currencies). 
  • 5+ years of experience managing technology platforms and roadmaps, and people.  
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into digital strategies and solutions.  
  • Familiarity with application testing, debugging and analysis of issues.  
  • Familiarity with Usability Design (best practices, consumer journey flows, API integrations, etc.). 
  • Proven background in collaboration and creative problem solving to deliver upon business objectives. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and a high volume of initiatives at one time. Proactively prioritize the work and manage expectations.  
  • Detail oriented self-starter. 
  • Client-service mentality.
