The Digital Workplace Systems Engineer is part of our Infrastructure & Operations department and is accountable for both build and run activities related to digital workplace solutions across our corporate environment and our global portfolio of businesses. 


The Digital Workplace Systems Engineer is accountable for the full range of design, build and run activities supporting digital workplace services, including but not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing deployment solutions for operating system, productivity and utility software
  • Updates to enterprise standards and technology roadmaps for end user hardware and operating system software
  • Design and implement virtual computing solutions for end user environments.
  • Facilitate implementation of integrations between end user technologies and digital workplace software systems
  • Oversee end user hardware deployment, refresh, and retirement activities.
  • Partner with external vendors and act as the lead internal SME (subject matter expert) on end user technology selection and deployment
  • Provide input into decisions around implementation of end user software
  • Serve as the escalation point for incidents as the SME for end user technologies

This role works closely with the network architecture team, server architecture team, Information Security, collaboration team, business facing support teams, key infrastructure vendors and service providers, Microsoft, Apple, HP and other key industry partners. The scope of the role is primarily focused on Hallmark Cards, Inc. but also provides governance and support to all subsidiaries within the global enterprise.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Associate's degree or higher AND 5 years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or administering end user solutions in an enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • MCSE or other technical certification
  • ITIL 3.0 certification

  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
