WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

An Editor who will be responsible for concepting, writing, editing and proofreading individual program strategies for Visual Merchandising - Mass Channel. You must partner effectively with a broad range of other disciplines inside and outside of the studio, exhibit excellent communication skills, be flexible and work well within deadlines and in quick turn-around situations, and have a high degree of technical accuracy.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Partner with multiple creative teams and business unit peers to successfully develop, execute and support copy and design strategies
  • Provide editorial direction, guidelines and support for all merchandising programs
  • Concept, write, revise and refine copy as needed to assure quality and accuracy
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage the details of signage programs—many of which have large numbers of editorial components
  • Create copy screens with exceptional accuracy for merchandising component copy
  • Proof digital artwork and sign off on final art during the review
  • Collaborate with peers on product teams and in Marketing, Packaging and Digital to ensure consistency across all consumer touch points

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of professional work experience
  • 2 years in a writing or editorial role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal, great attitude and team player
  • Strong people/relationship/collaborative skills - able to work effectively with a diverse mix of product leadership teams and business partners.
  • Experience in writing for merchandising, point of purchase and/or marketing/advertising
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communication, journalism or English
  • Strong concepting skills
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines and responsibility for final signoffs
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate and communicate with partners of varied styles and disciplines
  • Clear understanding of the retail industry, from tools to merchandising techniques to working lingo
