AN OVERVIEW:

The Email Marketing Consultant is responsible for developing and executing the email contact strategy in support of the Business-to-Business (B2B) and corporate businesses. You will bring your subject-matter-expert knowledge of the email and SMS/text channels to develop a strategic plan that will drive revenue and engagement across various audience segments. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of the email campaigns, reporting & insights as well as applying email marketing best practices. This position works closely with Hallmark IT, agency contacts and other integrated Hallmark teams as appropriate to translate the business needs into digital solutions that complement the existing communications strategy.

The digital communications team within Public Affairs and Communications is responsible managing the digital channels (website, email, commerce) in support of B2B and corporate audiences. In partnership with other key organizations like IT and external development agencies, we ensure optimal end-user experience at the enterprise approach across various projects. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Develop and execute acquisition and retention email strategies and tactics for various audience segments to deliver revenue and audience engagement. Oversee the email contact plan – from initial concept and email build, to deployment and analysis
  • Develop analytics and insights reports with defined KPIs to identify trends and areas of opportunity for improvement. Communicate reports and insights weekly, monthly and quarterly to manager and key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Proactively recommend additional opportunities for email touch points that will drive incremental revenue by demonstrating a clear understanding of the business and the end-user behavior
  • Define and execute testing plan to optimize overall performance
  • Provide thought leadership within the email marketing space and ensure email best practices are interwoven through the contact plan
  • Responsible for staying up to date with email marketing industry benchmarks, best practices, emerging trends and opportunities for marketing optimizations
  • Build email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud content builder and perform quality assurance of all outbound campaigns. The end-to-end process includes: email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment
  • Collaboration with Hallmark IT for emails, which are recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns and journeys

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years professional work experience
  • 3+ years email marketing experience with an email marketing platform
  • Experience with digital communications strategy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • 3-5 years of digital agency experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with email tools (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ExactTarget, Cheetah Mail, SilverPop, Responsys, Listrak, Lyris, Vertical Response, etc)
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge preferred
  • Experience with analytics tools and reporting – Salesforce, Google Analytics or others
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic and tactical plans and then deliver programs on schedule and on budget – skills in collaboration and creative problem solving
  • Ability to juggle multiple customers and a high volume of tasks at one time. Proactively prioritize the work and manage expectations
  • Curious and self-starter
  • Client-service mentality
