Hallmark is a large global organization that includes iconic family brands such as Hallmark and Crayola.  To support these brands, the Company operates several businesses across different industries.  The Corporate Accounting & Reporting Department:

• Manages the monthly financial close in SAP and Hyperion.

• Manages the consolidation of the financial results of all the Hallmark businesses

• Manages the process to create monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of results

• Operates a shared service organization that provides general ledger and capital asset accounting services to Hallmark and its subsidiaries

• Provides technical accounting guidance to finance and business partners

• Manages the annual audit process

• Assists with the finance policy development and administration

• Creates the consolidated financial plan




The Corporate Accounting and Reporting Analyst position is responsible for ensuring that accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and Hallmark accounting policies.


Duties include:

• Journal entry preparation

• General ledger account reconciliations

• Month-end processing to support operating subsidiaries and consolidation

• Providing financial analysis to business partners

• Providing planning and forecast support to business partners

• Ensuring capital spend is properly accounted for and assets are placed in-service in a timely manner in accordance with Hallmark policies and GAAP

• Responding to information requests from internal audit, income tax, property tax, and external auditors

• Corresponding with customers to resolve accounting and capital asset spend issues 

• The analyst will also provide financial analysis, reporting, quarterly debt covenant certification, and other business support as needed.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 2 years of experience in Accounting, Reporting, or Public Accounting



Your resume will stand out if you have:

  • Masters degree in accounting
  • CPA
  • Experience with accounting and consolidation systems (SAP and Hyperion preferred)
  • Experience with Blackline
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
  • Strong analytical skills




This position is located out of our headquarters office in Kansas City, MO. Relocation is not available.
