Crown Financial Services (CFS) functions as a shared services organization that provides general ledger and capital asset accounting services to Hallmark and its subsidiaries, who are our internal customers.  Our subsidiaries have operations different than our main business of greeting card manufacturer and wholesaler. These include Crayola products, retail store operations and real estate development, to name a few.


The CFS financial analyst role allows the incumbent exposure to a variety of businesses, domestic and international, and their specific accounting issues.
• Gain experience on SAP systems/modules: AM – Asset Module, PS – Project System, IM – Investment Management and FICO - General Ledger.
• Ensuring capital spend is properly accounted for and assets are placed in-service in a timely manner
• Reviewing  year end capital spending accruals
• Participate in or assist with month end analysis to summarize and report financial data from cash flows and create capital reporting
• Properly applying GAAP and corporate policies to accounting  journals and capital asset transactions
• Respond to information requests from other groups such as internal audit, income tax, property tax as well as from external auditors
• Corresponding and working with customers to resolve accounting and capital asset spend issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 1+ years' experience in financial or accounting analyst or support role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • SAP capital asset and general ledger accounting experience
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to apply GAAP to transactions             
  • Proficiency with PC applications Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly effective communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong and consistent attention to detail
