The Corporate Treasury department provides Treasury Services and Global Financing for Hallmark Cards, Inc. and its domestic and international subsidiaries, as well as Credit Services for Hallmark Retail.  The area related to the job posting is within the Treasury Services area, which encompasses the development and implementation of strategies to utilize cash resources, manage foreign currency exposures and financial investments.

This Financial Analyst - Treasury position reports directly to the Assistant Treasurer – Global Cash & Investments while also supporting the Vice President & Treasurer.  Responsibilities encompass a broad range of activities including, but not limited to:

  • Conducting research, preparing strategic analysis and reports, and making recommendations to management in such areas as investments, financial and expense performance, cash resources, and foreign exchange
  • Preparing timely and accurate reports detailing compliance or variances with internal controls and policies
  • Executing foreign exchange trades with internal and external business partners.
  • Researching and analyzing trends in institutional investing; maintaining working knowledge of new opportunities and prospective investment strategies; monitoring market and industry issues, regulations, and trends that may affect portfolios or result in changes in risk / return objectives.
  • Serving as an important liaison between Hallmark and investment managers and custodian/trustee used by the US benefit plans. 
  • Assisting in SAP system updates by testing SAP Treasury functionality.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance


  • Strong analytical skills, organization, flexibility, and an ability to do many tasks simultaneously.  Establish priorities and meet critical deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience or knowledge of banking services, including foreign currency
  • Financial competency across P&L and balance sheet
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and using influencers effectively
  • Knowledge of MS Office including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  Must be adept at learning and navigating various software programs such as SAP and Bloomberg. 
  • Customer service attitude and focus, team player and collaborator
