Hallmark Graphic Design interns are placed into different creative studios into roles where their Graphic Design skills can be showcased and refined. Examples of roles specific to those studios are outlined below.

Use your exceptional graphic design skills and your illustration, hand lettering, and typography capabilities in one of the largest creative studios at Hallmark. In this role, you will be responsible for the concept and creation of greeting card product packages from start to finish. Some of our designs even call for handmade attachments, unique finishes, and other embellishments, so if you have additional maker skills (sewing, knitting, laser cutting, embroidery, etc.), you would be able to utilize them in this role. We are seeking a true hybrid talent for this internship opportunity: your ability to seamlessly integrate design, illustration, and lettering into your concepts and solutions will set you apart as a top candidate for this unique role.

As a part of this diverse, trend-savvy, and idea-rich team, you will utilize your multicultural knowledge and experience to create concepts and final designs for our multicultural-focused products included in the Mahogany (African American), Vida (Spanish language), Tree of Life (Jewish), Eight Bamboo (Asian), and Golden Thread (Asian) product lines. We are looking for individuals who have passion and affinity for multicultural product to contribute at a high level through their design, illustration, and lettering skills to create final greeting card concepts and solutions.

As a designer in Gift Presentation and Stationery, you’ll have the opportunity to develop seasonal and everyday gift presentation and stationery solutions that are unique to our retailers. During your internship, you will work on a variety of concepts ranging from thematic gift presentation collections to lines of home office and calendar products to colorful and sophisticated stationery suites. You'll have the opportunity to work on both seasonal (Christmas, Easter) and every day (baby, birthday) products and collections.

The Creative Marketing Studio at Hallmark is an in-house agency comprised of Hallmark brand experts who deliver strategic, award-winning work that directly influences the company’s bottom line. As a member of this diverse team, you’ll work with art directors, editorial directors, copywriters, and other designers in a collaborative, agency-like environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects for both internal Hallmark clients as well as external clients. Utilize your graphic design skills, your branding expertise, and your knack for advertising on a wide range of formats – including ads, campaigns, logos, videos, collateral development, and more – to get our consumers excited about what’s new at Hallmark.
