Hallmark’s Visual Merchandising Studio is looking for a graphic designer who loves creating holistic design solutions that can come to life on a big scale. We need someone who is passionate about showcasing the Hallmark brand across thousands of rooftops in a fresh, simple and innovative way. We are a strategic and dedicated studio made up of graphic and production designers, visual merchandisers, fixture and environmental designers, writers, and execution specialists. We create environmental signage, wayfinding, and fixture solutions in thousands of mass channel rooftops, like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and grocery, across the globe. We deliver a shopper experience that is easy to shop, showcases innovation and is unmistakably, recognizably Hallmark. We’ve also been known to create Pop Up Shops for New York Fashion Week, and create localized, unique shopping experiences for the LGBTQ consumers in San Francisco.



We think you might be a rock star graphic designer who has had experience with holistic marketing campaign design, package design, or environmental design. You know and love the Adobe Creative Suite like the back of your hand. You are always keeping a pulse on new and future trends in the world of design, retail and merchandising. We are looking for someone to come in and inspire the studio with new ways of thinking - with an understanding of traditional Hallmark needs, yet action and energy around something fresh.



  • Developing Hallmark-branded merchandising solutions including signage, wayfinding and other in-store graphics based on product, retailer, and consumer needs

  • Owning the entire design process from concept to completion to achieve a branded experience at retail, and to ensure that your solutions are of high quality, meeting Hallmark's design standards

  • Collaborating closely with a highly cross-functional team

  • Maintaining an understanding of the marketplace and consumer trends that influence merchandising solutions and decisions

  • Utilizing your strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced team environment

  • Creating style guides for new projects and adapt existing style guides to specific solutions; update style guides to ensure accuracy and relevancy

  • Preparing accurate digital files for hand off to Production Designers


This is a progressive position that will be filled at a level based on the skills and experiences of the selected candidate.

In order to be considered for this role, the following is required:

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years professional work experience

  • 2+ minimum years of professional graphic design or visual merchandising graphic design experience



Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or Graphic Design

  • A portfolio that demonstrates a strong design skill set, trend focused color palettes, excellent aesthetic judgment, and strong typography skills

  • A portfolio that shows your ability to design holistic campaign solutions across print, packaging, or wayfinding

  • A knack for creative problem solving

  • Strong conceptual projects

  • Collaborative and team-oriented work

  • Organization and attention to detail
