HBC’s Writer, Content + Advertising is responsible for writing engaging copy for both digital and print content, both independently and in a team setting and in accordance with Hallmark Business Connections’ brand guidelines and overall content strategy plans. Work will include writing for website copy, social media posts, blog posts, articles, case studies, white papers, emails, video scripts, direct mail, white papers, presentation decks, and company bios.

 

Requirements: 
To be considered an applicant for this position you must show how you meet the basic qualifications of the job in a resume or document you upload, or by completing the work experience and education application fields. Accepted file types are Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX), PDF, HTML, or TXT. Individual file size attachment limit is 10 MB.

 

You must also attach a Portfolio to be considered. Your portfolio for Hallmark should show 5-10 digital images of your work. Accepted file types are PDF, JPG, or JPEG. Individual file size limit is 10 MB. Attachments together should total no more than 20MB in total file size. In addition, you may include a link to your online portfolio as a supplement to the images you upload.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, journalism, marketing OR  3+ years writing experience

Portfolio examples of writing for content and advertising

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Skilled at extending content across channels and campaigns to increase efficiency in concepting and executions

• High level of business acumen and the ability to research, learn and write for multiple, varied target audiences

• Skilled at extending content across channels and campaigns to increase efficiency in concepting and executions

• B2B experience writing lead generation, lead nurture and thought leadership content including a profound comprehension of customers and what motivates them

• Online article formatting skills, experience with keyword arrangement, and other SEO best practices

• Produces quality work in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines and expectations for quality, creativity and accuracy

• Collaborates and contributes to the marketing and creative teams
