HBC Designers provide print and digital design services for multiple mediums and audiences. They work seamlessly across all channels (web, email, direct mail, advertising, etc.) to develop content that engages and motivates audiences for HBC and its clients. They will have the ability to design and develop content combining images and editorial for use in varied environments to deliver information and experiences. The Designers will work with a cross-functional team to turn business strategies into exceptional, on-brand, user-centered design solutions across multiple physical and digital touch points. The Designer’s work will have a direct impact on customer engagement for HBC’s clients, resulting in revenue growth and brand relevance for Hallmark. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Create graphic design approaches that move people to action by leveraging research and understanding of brands, business goals, and what motivates target audiences

• Collaborate with other team members to develop on-time and on-budget delivery of well-crafted, engaging designs

• Partner with Client Services, Product, and Sales team to develop innovative go to market marketing pieces

• Support the fast-paced creative needs of an editorial, content, and social marketing team 

• Further evolve our brand and enable creative consistency through guidelines, asset libraries, and other brand documentation

• Work on multiple projects, prioritizing as needed and efficiently managing time

• Ensure the usability, consistency, brand relevance, and functionality of the finished product

• Own the design process end-to-end, moving from concept through to final art, at multiple fidelity levels and producing handoffs to support that process


Bachelor’s degree OR 3 years design experience
Portfolio - with examples of designing for branding and advertising



Experience and ability to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines and expectations for quality, creativity and strategy\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including Creative, Marketing, Product Development, and Client Strategy business partners, account/traffic support and project managers

Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software

Abiltity to problem-solve creatively, has an interdisciplinary sensibility toward graphic, product and digital media design and an exceptional eye for detail

Conceives, designs and develops dynamic user experiences for everything from icons to websites
Candidates must have a strong visual aesthetic and working knowledge of best practice standards for print and digital design work
