Do you want to work for a one of the world's most trusted and recognized brands? Hallmark is a company rooted in connecting people. We care for our employees, our communities, and our world. A career at Hallmark means you get to make a big impact and create something that can make a genuine difference. We’re looking for people who want to continue to carry our vision forward.
The Internal Auditor plans and executes internal audits of Hallmark and its subsidiaries. This position will build upon and broaden the incumbent’s business knowledge with exposure to new concepts across a wide variety of Hallmark’s functions and subsidiaries. Domestic and international travel assignments are a required part of the position, up to 10%.
The audit process begins with an evaluation of key business objectives within an audit area, risks to meeting the objectives, and processes that help ensure risks are minimized. Testing procedures are then designed and carried out to determine the effectiveness of processes. Working with management, audit recommendations and action plans are summarized in a final report distributed to our clients, management of the audited area, selected corporate officers, and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Other key activities include assisting the external auditors in the year-end financial statement audit of Hallmark Cards, Inc., performing risk assessments of assigned business areas, and assisting management with developing the annual internal audit plan. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn Hallmark’s various and diverse businesses, while serving as an integral component of the corporate finance division.
Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve Hallmark's operations. It helps the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Hallmark Internal Audit uses a team-based approach to fulfill our purpose.
