Position Description

Reporting to CX Marketing Director, the Marketing Operations Manager will focus on developing, managing and executing operational processes and tasks in support of email, mobile and direct mail programs. The individual will also have tactical responsibilities for various marketing projects and will be expected to facilitate and build working relationships with internal marketing partners and support organizations, including IT, Data Analysis, Marketing and Web Services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the marketing operations team and supporting agency in the execution of outbound email, SMS/Mobile campaigns and direct mail programs.
  • Oversee the process of list/data integration for outbound marketing campaigns, focusing on improving the process through automation
  • Leverage systems and tools to execute and streamline personalized content and marketing workflows through automation, marketing operations management analysis and ROI reporting
  • Partner with Hallmark Tech partners to streamline processes and integrate multiple systems to increase operational efficiencies and visibility
  • Provide management view into process changes/automation resulting in increased measurable results including monthly C-level presentation of key projects, status and successes
  • Collaborate and align internal operations management with stakeholders in Hallmark Tech, Hallmark Digital and Deliveries; Supply Chain; and Marketing teams to meet campaign and project deliverables and timelines.
  • Work with Marketing Team Managers to scope and build new applications and processes to increase efficiencies and sales results
  • Assist in justifying program spend through formal business planning processes
  • Lead, prioritize and identify needed tech software updates; contract negotiations and key supplier RFP processes and if/as needed, lead transition from one platform/service to another.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership role within a marketing department or agency including marketing operations experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • High business and marketing acumen to exploit best marketing practices, yielding results
  • Proven ability to manage multiple disciplines and technical team members
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other email/SMS deployment platforms
  • Experience working with CRM targeting tools, marketing automation and workflow systems
  • Foundational knowledge of key coding languages such as HTML/CSS, Ampscript and SQL
  • Able to proactively streamline and automate workflow process and use analytics to measure program success
  • Ability to problem-solve/troubleshoot operational or business issues
  • Ability to professionally interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.
