The Marketing Specialist supports the strategies, lead generation, sales and solutioning of the Market Director – Customer. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Customer engagement strategy support –
    • Assist Market Director with market and client assessments and analytics to support the strategies, including but not limited to: lead goals, key messages, verticals to target, personas and content calendars, and all key activities to drive to revenue goals.
    • Maintains “path-to-purchase” documentation: Buyer personas, buyer journey/stages roadmap, key messages by stage, key differences by target verticals, offer strategies by verticals (programmatic process and support materials.)
    • Strategy training support and execution in partnership with Market Director
  • Lead generation and lead nurture for customer market –
    • Own day-to-day management of sales tools and processes:
      • CRM:  Ensure every lead is captured (partner with Brand to ensure all online leads are entered into CRM consistently and timely), consolidate and measure lead performance (activity and advancement); responsible for all offline lead capture and execution in partnership with sales; consolidate and report offline content KPIs.  Manages segmentation and pulls targeted audience lists for all campaigns based on targeted opportunities. Pulls ad hoc reports, produces regular performance reporting. Update and adapt CRM tool modification to support evolving needs (ongoing management of the tool feature and functionality).
      • Automated Marketing Tool: Partners with Brand/Sales Team to ensure online and offline leads flow into automated marketing tool… Specialist is responsible for pulling and uploading the lists for lead gen/lead nurture and P/E campaigns; Defines email marketing campaigns; Manages database; Loads/manages targeted campaign lists; Measures and evaluates campaign performance; Partners with CRM specialist to update leads database as required. Update and adapt marketing automation  tool modification to support evolving needs (ongoing management of the tool feature and functionality).
        • Lead tracking and performance: Tracks and reports wins/losses and reason to inform future targeting and strategy development.  Arranges PIR (post implementation reviews) for won/lost opportunities of X size to development ongoing action plans for pitch improvement.
        • Assist in the Development of content triggers for lead gen and nurture and in the tactics that are conversion specific: Manages online and offline processes that fuel sales/marketing integration, measurement and analytics, pitch and nurture collaboration and improvement
        • Collecting the data/evidence to help the GTM team evaluate the effectiveness of the sales execution.
        • Assist in development of lead nurture strategy for transactional leads as well as scoring (leads not assigned to a sales rep)
  • Sales support and solutioning –
    • Identify and document client stories and partner with brand to produce case studies
    • Support (Go To Market) GTM Strategies and execution
    • Tailor brand content for client specific decks/create assets leveraging brand content for business reviews, pitches, etc.
    • Execute tactics to maximize participation and engagement/reach within existing programs in partnership with the Account Directors; provide analytics to drive those tactics including creation of dashboards
    • Big Fish/Account-Based Marketing process support: Execute online, offline and sales enablement tools.
      • Hand-off to Brand team (specific content needs)
      • Execution of lead gen/nurture plan: greeting cards, DM mail pieces, FedEx, Drip campaigns, etc.
    • Partner with Market Director to create and execute offer strategies and standardized solutions from the product offering tailored to specific client needs within the gross margin requirement
    • Internal launch training for new content, products and tools for GTM execution
    • Manage and Maintaining the sales enablement/client support tools and materials (sales enablement library: Pitches, Marketing Materials, Master product line by verticals, business review templates, lead gen and lead nurture offline materials, etc.)… Ensuring we always have the latest version available to the team.


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years experience deploying mass marketing email
  • Minimum 2 years experience mass marketing direct mail
  • Minimum 2 years experience collecting and analyzing lead and ROI data
  • Experience developing and or improving cross functional marketing processes


  • Experience preparing and reviewing sales presentations in Power Point
  • Experience with CRM/Marketing Automation systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Project management experience.
