The Hallmark Payroll department is responsible for timely and accurate payment of over 22,000 employees in multiple corporations across the US and Canada.  The Payroll Department is a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.  There are always new challenges as we adapt to constantly changing legislation and corporate policies.  We are responsible for maintaining, processing, and distributing wage payments, supplemental wages, employee deductions and payroll taxes in compliance with Hallmark policies and federal, state, and local laws. We provide related information to employees, internal and external customers, and governmental agencies while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.

The Payroll Representative for Crown Financial Services is responsible for the accurate and timely payments to Hallmark's non-exempt employee population across all states and Puerto Rico.  This includes:

  • Time corrections, including overtime where required by policy or state law
  • Time entry for employees on STD, FMLA, Workman's Comp, and Sick Leave.
  • Processing final checks for terminating employees per state regulations
  • Prorating insurance premiums for partial pay periods
  • Garnishment refunds
  • Analyzing reports for full time employees missing time prior to payroll processing
  • Processing replacement checks for returned direct deposits and missing checks
  • Entering W4s
  • Working time interface error reports
  • W2 reprints
  • Unemployment Wage requests
  • Shift differentials
  • Providing customer support to internal and external customers
  • Documentation of continuously changing processes/procedures.

This position is a shared position-with a rotation of responsibilities amongst the team.  Training of position to completion will take approximately 1 year. Due to the complexity of the employee population, this position requires ability to analyze data received to ensure accuracy in reporting.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 3+ years payroll experience
