Hallmark’s Photography Intern will collaborate with a variety of teams to produce high-quality product images and short video for e-commerce sites and catalog. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, this internship is for you!

A successful intern will have experience and/or coursework related to photography, image retouching, video editing, and excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of digital SLR systems is essential along with strong photo editing skills and excellent visual, technical, and photographic skills with an eye for consistency and light.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a graduation date in August (spring semester) 2021 or earlier.  You must state your targeted graduation date (month and year) on your resume or you will not be considered.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign).


Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • Experience with using a Digital SLR camera.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and with digital capture software (e.g. Capture One or Lightroom).
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating skills in studio photography and retouching.
  • Excellent visual, technical, and photographic skills with an eye for consistency and light.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial and high-volume studio environment and adapt quickly to changes/deadlines.
  • Have strong organizational, problem solving, time management and trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • High producer under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume commercial studio environment.
  • Knowledge of general studio lighting capabilities.


  • All internships will be at the Hallmark Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. This internship will occur summer of 2018 from May 20th to August 9th (dates may be flexible to accommodate conflicting school calendars).
