The Global Packaging team at Hallmark serves as an in-house packaging design studio respected by organizations across the company. With organizational alignment into Visual Merchandising, the packaging team is a cross-functional team of creative and brand experts who deliver strategic and compelling consumer packaging that directly influences the company's bottom line.



The Production Designer for Package Design collaborates with Art Directors, Product Development Managers, Designers, Editors, Licensing, Merchants, Quality and Scheduling to provide design solutions and deliverables that meet foreign and domestic manufacturing requirements. They ensure that quality standards are met for accurate hand off of files. They resolve package production issues and develop new processes for streamlining work flow.



The following is required to be considered for this role: 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in graphic design and/or package design
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools (ie: Excel, Word, etc.)



Your resume and portfolio/application will stand out if you have:

  • A creative portfolio that demonstrates:
  • Strong design layout, aesthetic choices, image creation and production
    • Ability to manipulate design elements as necessary to optimize packaging elements (e.g. illustration, retouching, photography, typography)
      • Work that demonstrates creating packaging concepts to meet specific brand specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills, including:
    • Ability to create deliverables to a consistent standard (views, size, resolution, naming, archiving)
    • Ensuring file accuracy and integrity
    • Write and maintain procedures for files creation, archiving, storage, brand specifications
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to simplify workflows and stay current on industry trends and best practice
  • Ability to create or oversee the development of automation tools/scripts
  • Strong problem-solving ability, able to troubleshoot alongside peers and clients
  • Able to work with managers and traffic to maintain tight schedules and meet deadlines
  • Ability to train and oversee the work of flexible capacity and/or new hires
