The Program Assistant will provide executional support to the Gold Crown Greetings & Retail Experience team.   He/she will focus on securing samples and model line to support new programs and test initiatives.  The incumbent will be responsible for pulling and maintaining standard reports to hand-off to the team for further analysis and decision making.  He/she will also set displays for test purposes and perform administrative duties to aid the Category team as they prepare programs for sample and execution. Strong attention to detail, a self-starter mentality and the ability to prioritize daily task lists is critical to success in this role.Functional knowledge and context of Hallmark processes, systems and structure will help this individual add value quickly.   

 

This role will:
1. Collect and ensure the timely delivery of Greetings samples to support new programs.  This includes of submitting requests for mockups, organizing digital samples & placing orders for existing product. 
2. Gather and organize samples, SKU lists and/or visual model lines across product categories (Greetings, Gift Wrap, Ornaments & Gifts) for Gold Crown front-of-store & featured space solutions.
3. Maintain and update standard Social Expressions system reports weekly.
4. Assist in merchandising display setup for tests, trade shows, internal meetings and ship tests.
5. Compile voice of the consumer data post key seasons and in-store events.
6. Complete other ad hoc duties requiring basic excel knowledge, as assigned.

 

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or more than 1 year of professional work experience in a retail or product-centric role.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Prior work experience within Hallmark, preferably within Gold Crown Retail or Hallmark Greetings.
  • Knowledge of Hallmark systems such as MLM, BOB, PLM, RetailNet and Planview.
  • Fundamental understanding of program sample & ship-to-retail processes for Gold Crown.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Able to reach out & engage with peers across multiple business functions.
  • Comfortable working with and maneuvering large sets of data in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.  Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Resourceful & confident working independently of team.  Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
