We play a leadership role in identifying, developing and managing technology and process solutions; we pro-actively partner with business areas to develop new capabilities, build reliable solutions and efficiently manage the corporation’s investment in technology and end-to-end processes.

 

AN OVERVIEW:

This PM role is part of our Technology and Digital Workplace organization  (TDW) and will work across the rest of the IT division as well as the company’s enterprise in helping to modernize and optimize our technology and digital services.

 

This person will interact with various technology leaders / team members, IT senior leadership, select Hallmark executives and vendor partners, and is expected to greatly influence the multiple business groups within Hallmark to drive toward an available, sustainable, and secure cost appropriate environment.

 

THE TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Delivering comprehensive multi-year core technology and digital workplace roadmap initiatives
  • Assisting IT partners with drafting detailed project charters and business cases to include defining initial estimates and quantitative/ qualitative benefits
  • Directing, monitoring and managing IT core infrastructure, network-based, and end-user facing technology projects from its initial phases through implementation
  • Leading technology project teams consisting of more than 10 core team members or more than 2 vendors
  • Managing a variety of technology projects concurrently with varying degrees of scope and urgency
  • Managing project scheduling and budgeting
  • Proactive communication with sponsors, stakeholders and team members
  • Understanding the priorities of various internal projects and help steer organizational tradeoffs so we get the right things done
  • Coordinating and working with others on the project to ensure timely delivery
  • Participating in budgeting and ordering technology software and equipment (as necessary)
  • Ensuring standard procedural documentation and effective controls exist
  • Developing management and training strategies related to technology and digital workplace projects and services
  • Evaluating technological choices (hardware, network, and technology) by querying providers and understanding enough about implications to make choices for the organization that have an appropriate balance between cost /benefit today and future implications and limitations
  • Developing request for information (RFI), request for proposals (RFP), and request for appropriations (RFA) in collaboration with initiative sponsors and owners, stakeholders, and global procurement and finance partners
  • Crisply telling a story in a consumable way, representing the business outcome needed and the project deliverables and change management required for achieving them
  • Driving effective communication amongst team, vendor partners, senior management, and business partners
  • Coaching and mentoring less senior/tenured project managers on delivery methodologies
  • Facilitating project closures and lessons learned
  • Assisting with the development of IT service management, and portfolio performance scorecards and dashboards
  • Assisting with facilitating IT service and portfolio performance reviews, and vendor engagement and resource meetings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a related field of projects managed specifically core infrastructure, network and telecommunication, and/or end-user facing technologies
  • Project Management certification (PMP, MPM, PGMP, PMI-ACP)

 

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Your resume will stand out if you have:
  • Master’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in an ITIL environment
  • ITIL certification
  • Project management, ITIL, and IT service management training
  • Ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to details; strong cross-function collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve resolution without direct reporting relationships; knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management; technical background and understanding of infrastructure underpinnings for a complex environment
  • Project Management Skills:  Negotiation, People Management/Leadership, Financial Concepts and Management, Communication, Planning
  • Interpersonal Savvy, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility, Process Management, Drive for Results
  • Budget responsibility, contract management responsibility, IT technology or services implementation or support, securing managed infrastructure technology or IT services (e.g., networks, mainframe, mid-range, middleware, or database infrastructure, etc.),
  • Working knowledge of technical infrastructures and network systems; awareness of Microsoft and VMWare server; awareness of Microsoft and Apple client device technologies; experience delivering of on-premise, infrastructure as a service, and cloud-based technology solutions; understanding of Mainframe, mid-range, and client-server environments
