WHO WE ARE:

Our Charitable and Crown department operates a private trust company that manages a sophisticated investment portfolio, provides trust management, financial reporting, tax compliance and other services for its clients. Clients include individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and private foundations. This position is an integral role on the client service team.

 

AN OVERVIEW

We are seeking an engaging, empowering, team player to join our client service team as a Relationship & Trust Officer. This role is for someone who is a listener, a connector, and has demonstrated genuine interest in helping people plan and implement personal and financial goals. A successful candidate will be open to serving a diverse client base across a broad range of areas of interests. Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal.  This role requires attention to detail, timely responses, and a strong understanding of financial concepts. This role works closely with a sophisticated team of internal and external advisors in the areas of charitable giving, risk management, accounting, tax, and estate planning to enable clients to make informed decisions confidently. We are seeking a problem solver that can present non-standard solutions and is adaptable and flexible in an evolving environment.

 

This is a broad-based oversight role to meet the needs of high net worth clients in both a single-family office and a private, regulated trust company. This position is also responsible for the administration and compliance of many types of trusts. We are a fast-paced office with a commitment to providing a high level of service to all of our clients. This means you must be able to autonomously organize and prioritize multiple assignments in a changing environment while keeping a positive and professional attitude. A high degree of personal leadership is just as important as your technical, organizational, communication, and client service skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Post pandemic - role may require moderate travel within U.S. - based on client needs. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a relationship manager working with private clients and also possessing fiduciary knowledge in the areas of tax, investing, risk management, and estate planning.
  • Position will require obtaining the CTFA designation.
  • Preferred accreditations: CPA, CFP and/or CTFA
  • Strong client orientation and ability to build strong relationships with diverse clientele.
  • Ability to explain complex information to clients, both written and verbally.
  • Team-oriented, self-directed professional who is focused on results and not perfection.
  • Strong analytical ability and ability to resolve questions arising from account administration.
  • Ability to work in a professional, high net worth, highly confidential environment.
  • Proven ability to take action independently.
  • Holds self to a high level of personal leadership.

 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This position is located out of our headquarters office in Kansas City, MO. Relocation assistance will not be available.
