WHO WE ARE:

The New Business/Customer Development/Mass/National Account Team's primary objective is to ensure long-term optimal Hallmark brand growth by developing and leading distribution and new business strategies that maximize Hallmark’s brand market share, revenue, and profitability in support of the long-term corporate distribution, space planning, and sales objectives.

 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

 

The Sales Planning & Development Leader develops the planning schedule, product display strategy, and handles targeting and booking responsibilities for all Everyday and Seasonal sales programs for non-Hallmark Gold Crown accounts.

 

The SPDL conducts execution tracking and monitors the performance of key programs, making changes and/or providing forecasts to help predict future performance. This includes executing sales and market development support for various reporting needs and micro strategies to help understand performance trends and identify opportunities for growth. This role is responsible for escalating program or planning issues to appropriate team members and provides analytics support for weekly and monthly reporting.

 

Additionally, this role provides both operational and team support on a daily basis to both internal and external business partners. The SPDL is responsible for evolving work processes by constantly identifying ways to improve efficiencies to meet business needs.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years professional work experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in retail sales, execution, merchandise, or inventory planning

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Communications
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong understanding of retailer operations, store environments, product displays, and floor planning
  • General product, systems, and fixture knowledge
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload across multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong ability to take initiative
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills that translate across distance and mediums
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship builder, and collaborator
