WHO WE ARE:

 

The Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for: 

  • Building a world-class, consumer-focused caring platform that enables Hallmark’s lines of business (LOB) across the enterprise (Crayola, Crown Media, Hallmark Global) to accelerate their direct-to-consumer product strategies  
  • Developing a Cloud-first, multi-tenant digital platform that provides capabilities and services, such as a unified Hallmark Profile, Product Recommendations, Global Payment services, etc.  
  • Building, securing and operating digital consumer products for Hallmark’s LOBs 
  • Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future 

 

As a member of the DCOE group you'll partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines that bring products like Hallmark.com and our Hallmark Gold Crown Omnichannel network to life for our consumers. With a consumer-first focus this group delivers impactful digital solutions that have a direct impact on consumer brand engagement and retention in the digital space, which results in revenue growth and brand relevance. 

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

As a principal architect you’ll partner with Product and Delivery Managers to architect and orchestrate building highly scalable and performant applications.  The DCOE Principal Solutions Architect brings strong leadership and development skills including facilitating change, driving design excellence, code quality standards and striving for continuous improvement.  You will be influential in the overarching technology choices for the program and be a guardian of a world-class customer experience.

 

With emphasis on Hallmark’s B2C customer experiences, you will be providing solutions to advance eCommerce practice leveraging Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).  Understanding migration and integration strategies with corporate Enterprise solutions such as SAP and fulfillment services to cloud-based platforms will be an important focus for this role. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of continuous integration, deployment, and process automation within Hallmark.

 

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in application/technology migrations. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Enjoy working with other architects, delivery managers, product owners, development & QA Teams. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building solutions for a diverse and challenging set of projects.

 

Have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a principal developer or architect. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions.

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technology or technical fields, or 8 years' equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an application architect, including analysis, design, and development experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience building REST based APIs and services.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Continuous Integration and Deployment tools.
  • Minimum 6 years experience work in an Enterprise environment and processes
  • Minimum 6 years experience working with Enterprise Service Bus and messaging queues
  • Minimum 6 years experience with application security architecture (JWT, APM, Cloud Infrastructure)
  • Experience with end-to-end IT software and systems solution delivery from idea conception, design, development and transition into production operations and maintenance
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Held a prior role with responsibility for high scalable/available systems architecture, security, and systems support in a heterogeneous infrastructure environment.
  • Contracts and SLA review with vendors and platform providers including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Lead defining and innovating in architecture standard and principals
  • Mentor and develop technology team members
  • Develop leaders and instill accountability and ownership within the team
  • Certified Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • Experience working with Identity and Access Management solutions.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Experience
  • Experience with Microservices architecture
  • Certified Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer
  • Certified Salesforce B2C Commerce Administrator

 

This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.  The annual salary  range for this job, is between $78,750 and $156,250, with the ability for annual bonus.  Salary will take into consideration several factors including location and role level.
