OVERVIEW:

The Surplus Shop is a store that sells discounted Hallmark and non-Hallmark product to current and retired Hallmark employees. This shop exemplifies the vert best of what Hallmark has to offer on services and product. It is part of the HR Corporate Service/Total Rewards Division.

 

THE SURPLUS SHOP COORDINATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Surplus Shop Coordinator is expected to suggest and sell all Hallmark and non-Hallmark product that is showcased in our headquarters shop. They must be able to provide exceptional customer service and must have a good communication skill with all Hallmark employees and visitors.

This person needs to be able to learn how to operate a register.  They must have knowledge in merchandising and stocking product according to Hallmark standards and guidelines. They will assist in purchasing product. This person will be held accountable for all inventory management and processes.  They will need to be a self-motivated individuals can guide other employees with directional business needs.  This position is a high volume, fast paced environment with continual deadlines.     

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Candidate must be willing and able to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally    

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for Hallmark and the Hallmark Brand 
  • Min of Two Years of Retail Experience and Customer Service
  • Good Communication Skills and a Team Player
  • Strong People Skills --able to work effectively with a diverse mix of product, leadership teams and business partners
  • Merchandising Experience--Attention to Detail 
  • Hallmark Product Knowledge
  • Cash Register Experience
  • Ability to use Word and Excel  
  • Time Management Skills
  • Stock Handler Duties
