Hallmark’s internship program (May 20, 2019 – August 9, 2019; dates may be flexible to accommodate conflicting school calendars) provides the valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate environment. Hallmark’s Video Studios create photographic imagery (both still and video) in support of a wide range of business needs including product design, package design, marketing, advertising, merchandising,, and social media. As a member of this full-service production and post-production studio, you will create and edit video content in support of in-store communication, pitches, and retailer and consumer-facing video for Hallmark’s wholesale and retail businesses. Our ideal candidate is someone interested in a role where you can exercise your creativity, strong storytelling and technical skills, problem solving, and collaboration skills.

A portfolio is required. This position requires a reel showcasing your video work, and you must upload a document with your reel link included. Accepted file types are Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX), PDF, HTML, or TXT.  Individual file size attachment limit is 10 MB.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Currently pursuing a degree with a graduation date in August (spring semester) 2020 or earlier.  You must state your targeted graduation date (month and year) on your resume or you will not be considered.
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects.


Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • Strong visual storytelling skills and good sense of timing.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve and video encoding and compression.
  • Experience with studio and location video production.
  • A highly collaborative mindset and passion for teamwork.
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Self-starter, curious, and willing to learn.
  • Prior internship experience.


  • All internships will be at the Hallmark Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. This internship will occur summer of 2018 from May 20th to August 9th (dates may be flexible to accommodate conflicting school calendars).
