It is comprised of Hallmark brand experts who deliver strategic, business-focused creative solutions that will make everyone fall in love with the Hallmark brand.  We are looking for a Writer to join our Creative Marketing Studio.


The Writer for the Creative Marketing Studio is part of a full-service agency that partners with other business areas within Hallmark. In this role, the Writer develops copy and concepts used to create marketing materials for Hallmark products and services. The role includes gathering and applying consumer insights and demonstrating a high level of brand expertise and proficiency in craft, productivity, creativity, initiative and collaboration. S/he employs a range of styles to deliver innovative and successful copy solutions, with significant mastery of brand voice, strategy, language and idea richness. S/he applies in-depth knowledge of business context, social expression and other relevant industries and plays a key role in understanding and ensuring execution of creative strategy.  S/he works collaboratively with design partners throughout the process of concept development through execution. The writer is also proactive in seeking development opportunities, including candid feedback from partners and managers. 
This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (required to be considered for the role):

  • Bachelor's Degree OR at least 4 years professional work experience
  • At least 1 year of professional writing experience



  • BA or BFA in creative writing, English, journalism, or related field
  • At least 2 years of writing experience in creative writing, publishing, advertising, public relations, teaching or related professional experience
  • Work experience in a team environment, such as an advertising/marketing agency
  • Technology Experience preferred: General computer programs supporting business communication (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, email)
