The Lawrence Employee Card Shop is a Hallmark card shop that sells Hallmark and non-Hallmark products to current and retired employees at a discount.  The shop is part of the Human Resources division and considered a benefit for the employees.  It exemplifies the very best of what Hallmark has to offer in services and product to the employees and their families.   


The Card Shop Coordinator is expected to perform as a salesperson, suggesting and selling Hallmark and non-Hallmark product in the Card Shop and the Surplus Shop.  They must be able to provide exceptional customer service and have good communication skills with all Hallmark employees and visitors.  They will need to be a self-motivated individual that can work unsupervised majority of the time. It is a high volume, fast-paced environment with continual deadlines.   Some of the job duties for this role include:

  • Operate and balance the WIN register system
  • Stock product according to Hallmark standards and guidelines
  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all inventory and merchandising management and processes
  • Order Hallmark product on a limited basis
  • Stock handler tasks

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position or stand, walk, push/pull, and obtain items above shoulder level
  • Ability to move, lift, and transport up to 20 pounds constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally

  • 2+ years retail or customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attitude and a team player  
  • Strong people skills - Able to work effectively with a diverse mix of product, leadership teams and business partners
  • Merchandising experience
  • Attention to detail 
  • Knowledge of Hallmark product lines
  • Experience using a cash register 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Ability to complete a large volume of work with deadlines and time constraints, especially during peak times including the holidays  


This role is located out of our Production Center in Lawrence, KS. Relocation will not be provided.
