We are a team of engineers and technicians delivering attractive new capabilities across the supply chain that accelerate growth throughout our business. Our solutions are essential to delivering on Hallmark's top initiatives. We research, design, and implement process automations unique in the industry and key to accelerating our business growth. 



Our electrical engineers are responsible for the system controls (e.g. Allen-Bradley PLCs and RSLogix), safety controls, motion controls (servo, stepper, VFD), robotics, vision systems, power distribution (480V and below), communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus), HMIs, and barcode reading equipment. 


They are also accountable for managing capital spending, designing systems, networking with our end-users, partnering with external suppliers and consultants, procuring parts, adhering to aggressive schedules, and working closely with our technician team. Their roles in implementation, start-up, troubleshooting, modification, documentation, and training are essential to our success.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years professional work experience 



Your resume and portfolio/application will stand out if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering
  • 3 or more years of related experience in controls or class work in controls.
  • Experience designing electrical and control systems, automation systems, and related.
  • Familiarity with C# programming language and .NET framework
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley's RSLogix, safety controls, motion controls (servo, stepper, VFD), robotics, vision systems, power distribution (480V and below), communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus), HMIs, and barcode reading equipment.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply codes and standards such as NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, ANSI standards, ISO standards, and OSHA regulations to equipment design.
  • Success at balancing individual work with team-oriented projects.
  • Characteristically self-motivated and enthusiastic about moving work forward.
  • Flexibility to adapt and adjust to changing requirements, and to navigate through ambiguous situations.
  • Enjoyment from challenges of innovation and starting from a clean slate. 
  • Success with engaging with others to advance our work and building partnerships with people across our business and external.
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal. 



  • This position is primarily located at the Hallmark Distribution Center in Liberty, MO. Occasional work at the Carefree Caves in Independence, MO and other Hallmark facility locations may be required.
  • Relocation will not be provided.
