An HR Coordinator, or Human Resources Coordinator, completes clerical duties for an organization’s human resources department. Their main duties include providing administrative support to employees by guiding employees through various human resource processes and/or questions they may have about policies, assisting the HR department with recruitment efforts, maintaining employee records, and aiding with payroll processing functions.



  • Process paperwork and employment records, ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services, help to facilitate communications throughout the facility (i.e., job posting, federal compliance posters, etc.). Acts as primary support for creating and maintaining employee files both electronically and any applicable paper files to include I-9s and affirmative action files.
  • Scheduling and coordinating facility benefit and welfare events, liaison between employees and HR Services, answering and assisting employees with benefits-related, retirement and general questions, assisting employees through self-service portal, conducting audits of various HR processes, assists in coordinating employee activities (catering and external purchasing) for annual and ad-hoc events, such as Anniversary Awards, holiday meals, etc.
  • Assisting with the recruitment efforts, coordinating, and scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens with candidates, performing background checks on applicants, and scheduling pre-hire drug screens, providing applicants with information regarding position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties, assisting with new hire orientations.
  • Liaison between HR and payroll; performing weekly and monthly payroll bonus reports, reconciling invoices statements, conducting audits of various HR processes, maintain sensitive and confidential information, contribute to, and maintain accurate HRIS data.




The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent


  • 1+ year: Human resources support experience OR 1+ year: Administrative experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree in HR preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Kronos/ Ulti-Pro HCM preferred
  • Proficient computer skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information



  • This is an on-site position at the Liberty Distribution Center working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. (30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • The Hallmark Liberty Distribution Center is located 20 miles north of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Relocation will not be provided.
