The mission of the Corporate Stores is to bring the Hallmark image to life in a world-class specialty retail environment.  Hallmark continues to reinvent its specialty retail channel for the future with a renewed focus on the customer experience.  As this future unfolds, the District Manager will lead their business and oversee the changing image, culture and environment of their stores and team.

This position works from a home office.  This role will cover a market spanning San Jose and Santa Rosa.  The ideal candidate will be located central to the Bay area.


As a CSG District Manager you will drive district sales and the profitability plan to meet or exceed retail sales revenue targets for approximately eight (8) corporately owned stores.  You will direct and oversee overall operation of retail stores within your district to ensure stores are running smoothly, effectively managing payroll, and focused on the consumer - their needs and store experience. 

The district manager consistently demonstrates enthusiasm for the business, models positive business behaviors and leads a team of store managers.  Your ability to motivate, coach and strengthen store managers as team leaders, retail operators and business owners is essential to growth and success of the business.


  • You have ownership and strong influence of multiple elements to enable success including; talent, product mix, visual merchandising and marketing.
  • Responsible for leading, informing and influencing corporate partners to ensure all elements are relevant to local consumer.  Manages and promotes a “best in class” specialty retail experience for our consumers.

  • Knowledgeable and participates in the social media landscape and enthusiastically share insights and direction with his/her team.

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Travel between stores and overnight stays as required based on district assignment. 
  • Experience in  business analytics to support store and district success including management of cost factors, payroll, etc.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.  
  • Cannot have three or more driving-related violations in a 3 year period, or a record of any driving-related violations or offense involving drugs or alcohol within the last five years.



Your resume will stand out if you have:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in management, retailing, business or related field.
  • 2-3 years of district level or multi-store level management experience  and /or Hallmark sales or GC channel experience
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to manage, train and coach staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines; consistently demonstrates a focus on the consumer, acts with speed and urgency, makes decisions, takes risks and works collaboratively.
  • Experience and results in utilizing social media to reach consumers and market products to drive sales and create an engaging consumer experience to grow sales at the store and district level.
