The Visual Merchandising Supply Chain team works to ensure our retailers and customers have compelling display solutions that brings Hallmark's products to life in a wide range of retail environments.  Our team is a highly talented and results oriented group who is focused on delivering outstanding results to our customers.  We are an inclusive and highly collaborative team that enjoys the fast paced and ever changing environment we work within.  

 

As an Industrial Designer, you will design, engineer, and update Hallmark's structural merchandising displays.   You will be challenged  to to find cost-effective ways to bring our products to life across a wide range of retail locations.  You will work within a highly talented team and collaborate to ensure the best possible solutions are developed on time and on budget.   You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising team, fixture plants, DIM, OMS, and GMS to ensure success upon roll out.  The incumbent will develop solutions that leverage a wide array of manufacturing techniques comprised of many different materials that will be installed in a very diverse group of retailers.   

 

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (example: injection mold, vacuum forming, metal stamping, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of the various materials used withing the display industry such as wire, metal, wood, plastic, and corrugate.
  • Prior role requiring project management, analytic, collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Prior role experience requiring ability to visualize 3D elements from 2D drawings
  • Basic understanding of structural engineering and/or construction principles

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree or 4 years of professional work experience
Three or more years of experience in developing retail displays
Project Management certification
Formal LEAN training
POP industry or display manufacturing experience
